Danielle Pere, MPM, is the Bureau Chief, Division of Behavioral Health, at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and has 20 years of health care policy and executive management experience. At the Division, she leads the state’s Central Office in overseeing healthcare services and programs, developing emergency response and situational reporting protocols, and oversees planning,
performance, implementation, operations and evaluation of the behavioral health programs.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Pere was Vice President of the American College of Preventive Medicine in Washington, DC and led programs and operations at the intersection of clinical care and public health focused on chronic disease prevention. Previously, as the Director of Field Mobilization for the Alliance for Retired Americans, AFL-CIO, she developed and managed the organizations legislative and political campaigns related to health care and retirement security. Ms. Pere holds a BA in Biology and Political Science from Whittier College, a Certificate in Project Management & Development from the University of Delaware, a Certificate in Program Design and Assessment from the University of Pennsylvania, a Masters Degree in Public Policy Management from Georgetown University, and a Certificate in Executive Leadership from Cornell University.
