Padmini Ranasinghe, MBBS, MD, MPH

Padmini Ranasinghe, MD, is an assistant professor of medicine in the Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She holds board certifications in both Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine. She has an MPH from Yale School of Public Health, and is a fellow of ACP, ACPM, and SHM. She serves as a director on medical student education on the division. Her current research interests are in health and wellness of medical students, residents, and practicing physicians. Since 2009, Dr. Ranasinghe has been the Principal Investigator of an ongoing longitudinal survey dealing with medical student health and wellness at Hopkins. Dr. Ranasinghe joined the American Medical Association (AMA) in 2007 after she was awarded a Young Physician Leadership Award by AMA Foundation. She was the chair of AMA IMG Section for 2013-14. At MedChi, the Maryland Medical Society, she is a member of the board of trustees, treasurer, and an alternate delegate to the AMA. She is an elected member on AMA council on Science and Public Health.
